ROMAN BATHS IN ACHARAVIThe Roman Baths are located within 42 km from Corfu town just across the Folkloric Museum of Acharavi. Discovered in 1985 during excavation for building a house.
Speculated that it was part of a large Roman building. They salvaged parts of the hypocaust and channel carrying water in baths passing by hypocaust to reach the user warm. Note that not allowed in the area to protect the monuments. |
